Brother Luke R. Baldwin, M.M., who served in Guatemala for 25 years, died July 26 in the Assisted Living Center at Maryknoll in Ossining. He was 96.
Brother Baldwin was in Guatemala, 1964-1989. He also served in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Illinois, Texas, California, Bolivia, Honduras and El Salvador.
Born in Mount Rainier, Md., he served in the U.S. Navy for three years during World War II before entering Maryknoll in 1948 and taking final vows in 1953.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated July 30 in Queen of Apostles Chapel at Maryknoll Society Center, Ossining. Burial was in Maryknoll Society Cemetery.
