Catechumenate Forum Set at Seminary Nov. 10

The annual archdiocesan Forum on the Catechumenate will be held Saturday, Nov. 10, at St. Joseph’s Seminary, Dunwoodie. The theme will be “Celebrating 30 Years of the Rite—A Reflection on the Past and a Look at the Future.”

The forum is a day of study and ministry training for parish RCIA team members, catechists, clergy and other interested adults.

The bilingual forum will have two keynote speakers. Speaking in English will be Todd Williamson from the Archdiocese of Chicago; speaking in Spanish will be Dolores Martinez from the Diocese of San Antonio. The gathering will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 3:30 p.m.

Oscar Cruz, director of the Catechumenate in the archdiocesan Adult Faith Formation Office, will be one of the workshop presenters at the forum. His presentation will focus on the training of RCIA coordinators.

Other workshop themes will include music ministries, community ministries and celebrating the major rites authentically.
