The 13th annual gala for Catholic Charities of New York June 8 at the American Museum of Natural History in Manhattan raised nearly $3 million for New Yorkers in need. Award-winning Broadway performer Andréa Burns sang “Paciencia y Fe” from “In the Heights” and “A Place for Us” from West Side Story.” Todd Gibbons, CEO of BNY Mellon, received the Deus Caritas Est Award from Cardinal Dolan, who was joined by Eugene McQuade, chair of the board of archdiocesan Catholic Charities, and Msgr. Kevin Sullivan, executive director of archdiocesan Catholic Charities.
