Following recommendations of the Health and Safety Task Force of the Office of the Superintendent, Catholic elementary schools in the archdiocese will remain closed through Friday, May 22, “since the well-being of our children and teachers is our preeminent responsibility,” said an April 20 post on catholicschoolsny.org from Michael Deegan, superintendent of schools.

Home-based learning will continue for the students, who have been working remotely since schools closed March 16 in response to the global coronavirus pandemic.
