Northeast/East Bronx

Holy Family School, the Bronx, begins the week with a Family Mass Sunday, Jan. 26 at 9:30 a.m. There will be a day for teachers to switch classrooms, a science fair and a sports jersey day, among other activities. The week ends with a school-wide Bingo game.

Central Westchester

Immaculate Conception School, Tuckahoe, will celebrate a school-wide Mass Monday, Jan. 27, at 9:15 a.m. There will be a “Take Pride in Your Uniform” day and a career day. The week ends with a family fun night Jan. 31.

Northern Westchester/Putnam

Holy Name of Mary Montessori School, Croton on Hudson, will begin the week with parents speaking at Masses on Sunday, Jan. 26, about the Montessori philosophy and the teachings of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd.

St. Patrick’s School, Yorktown Heights, will begin the week with faculty and staff versus the eighth-grade students volleyball game. Also featured are a movie and popcorn day, an international day and a “Math Carnival.” The week ends with a student appreciation day, topped with ice cream sundaes!

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School, Shrub Oak, will begin the week with a Mass honoring the namesake of the school. Activities during the week will highlight the school’s buddy program where students in the upper grades work with their younger buddies.

Dutchess

St. Peter’s School, Poughkeepsie, begins the week with a parents’ breakfast. The week includes a talent show, a “Jump for Heart” competition, a pep rally, and a faculty and staff versus eighth-grade students basketball game. The week concludes with a game of Bingo and the celebration of Mass.

St. Martin de Porres School, Poughkeepsie, begins the week with a pancake breakfast on Sunday, Jan. 26, after the 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Masses. There will be a jersey day and an academic bowl, a crazy hat and wild socks day, and a movie day. Parents will enjoy special “donuts with dad” and “munchkins with mom” days. The week concludes with the celebration of Mass at 9 a.m. Jan. 31. The school will take part in Catholic Charities’ “Feeding Our Neighbors” campaign.

Staten Island

Our Lady Help of Christians School begins the week with a school-wide book fair. There will be a spirit day, a grandparents’ day and a special instruction day.

St. Ann’s School will celebrate the week with a pajama day, a career day and a parents’ appreciation day. There will be a presentation on Holy Childhood Association missions and a presentation on bullying by Miss New York State. The week ends with the celebration of Mass.

St. Charles School begins the week with a school-wide breakfast and the celebration of Mass. There will be a spirit day. Special speakers throughout the week include military veterans who will discuss service to our country, Assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis on Hurricane Sandy, and Senator Andrew Lanza and Assemblyman Michael Cusick will speak about service to the city. There will be a “Lifestyles for the Disabled arts and crafts project” and a technology project.

St. Joseph Hill Academy Elementary will host a dance recital for prekindergarten and kindergarteners. A distinguished graduate will be honored at Mass. The honoree is Dr. Philip Otterbeck, chairman of the endocrinology division at Richmond University Medical Center, who will be cited for his work in the community.

St. Stephen-St. Edward, Warwick, invites parents to attend its Catholic School Week Mass, Sunday, Jan. 26 at 9 a.m.

St. Peter’s Regional School, Liberty, invites families to attend their Catholic Schools week Mass, Sunday, Jan. 26, 11:30 a.m.
