At the Jan. 6 Mass opening the 150th anniversary year of Epiphany parish in Manhattan, Cardinal Dolan was the principal celebrant. A reception followed in the parish hall. A celebratory parish dinner was held at the Water Club in Manhattan Jan. 16. The parish, founded in 1868, completed its first church in 1870. That building was destroyed in a five-alarm fire in 1963. Four years later, Cardinal Francis Spellman dedicated the current church.
