Crèches the World Over

Posted

The crèche or Nativity scene has been a reverent and popular way to depict the birth of Jesus for centuries. The archdiocese is home to at least two large-scale crèche displays, the first at Mariapolis Luminosa, the headquarters of the Focolare movement in Hyde Park, and the other at Graymoor in Garrison, the motherhouse of the Franciscan Society of the Atonement. The Knights of Columbus Museum in New Haven, Conn., is also hosting an exhibit of crèches for the 13th straight year.
