The sixth annual Rockland County Spirit Day for confirmation candidates from parish religious education programs in the county was held Nov. 17 at St. Catharine of Alexandria parish in Blauvelt. In addition to providing spiritual enrichment and a retreat experience for the 725 registered youths, Spirit Day gave the confirmation candidates an opportunity to meet peers from various parishes. Both the Saturday morning and afternoon sessions, held in the church and gymnasium, began with Mass, followed by an Array of Hope program featuring breakout sessions, musical performances, formative talks and testimonies. The youth team of Array of Hope, headquartered in Old Tappan, N.J., complements the efforts of parish and diocesan confirmation programs to help instill the message and the beauty of the Catholic faith.
