Father Charles Terence Quinn, O.P.

Father Charles Terence Quinn, O.P., who served for 14 years at Holy Innocents parish in Pleasantville, died Nov. 7 at Cabrini ElderCare in Dobbs Ferry. He was 94.

At Holy Innocents, Father Quinn was pastor, 1982-1988, and parochial vicar, 2002-2010.

He served two terms as prior provincial of the Dominican Province of St. Joseph, 1972-1980.

He resided at St. Vincent Ferrer Priory, Manhattan, 2016-2018, and also served in New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Ohio and California.

Father Quinn also served as a missioner to Pakistan and the Solomon Islands.

Born in Queens, he entered the Dominican Novitiate in 1948, professed final vows in 1952 and was ordained a priest in 1955. He served in the U.S. Navy, 1943-1947.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Dartmouth College, Hanover, N.H.

A Funeral Mass was offered Nov. 14 at Holy Innocents Church, Pleasantville. Burial was in All Souls Cemetery, Pleasantville.
