Father Dennis Dunne, M.M.

Father Dennis Dunne, M.M., who served in Bolivia, died Dec. 19 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minn., as a result of complications from a fall. He was 61. He entered Maryknoll in 1983, and after his initial formation program he was assigned to Thailand for overseas training. Ordained in 1990, he was then assigned to Riberalta, Bolivia. In 1995, Father Dunne was assigned to serve in the Maryknoll development department in the Minneapolis area, and he continued to work in mission education and promotion until his death. He held a bachelor's degree and a master's in social work from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota. After graduation he served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Bolivia for two years. He is survived by a brother, James, and two sisters, Janice Segar and Kathleen Archer. A Funeral Mass was offered Thursday, Jan. 4, at Queen of Apostles Chapel at the Maryknoll Society Center in Ossining, with burial in Edina, Minn.
