Father Enrico Raulli, S.J.

Father Enrico Raulli, S.J., a high school teacher and counselor for 40 years, died at Murray Weigel Hall, the Jesuit infirmary at Fordham University. He was 83.

Father Raulli was an English teacher and guidance counselor at St. Peter’s Prep in Jersey City, N.J., 1979-2015. He taught English and Latin at Brooklyn Prep, 1959-1962, and English at Canisius High School in Buffalo, 1967-1977.

Born in Syracuse, he entered the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) in 1952. He studied for the priesthood at St. Andrew on Hudson, Bellarmine College in Plattsburgh, Loyola Seminary in Shrub Oak and Woodstock College in Maryland, and was ordained in 1965.

He received a bachelor’s and master’s in education from Fordham University, and a master’s from Canisius College.

A Funeral Mass was offered on Jan. 8 at St. Aedan’s Church in Jersey City. Burial was at the Jesuit Cemetery in Auriesville.
