Father Henry Dickson, S.S.J.

Father Henry Dickson, S.S.J., who studied and taught at a Josephite school in Newburgh, died April 17 at St. Joseph Manor in Baltimore. He was 73. He taught at Epiphany Apostolic College, a Josephites' minor seminary in Newburgh, 1960-1967, and again in 1969. He also served as a pastor in parishes in Maryland, Louisiana, Alabama and Texas and in Washington, D.C. Born in Philadelphia, he entered the Josephites, an order dedicated to evangelizing in U.S. African-American communities, in 1948 at Epiphany Apostolic College. He was ordained in 1960. A Funeral Mass was offered April 21 at St. Joseph Manor, with burial in New Cathedral Cemetery in Baltimore.
