Frances Geoghan Reamer

Frances Geoghan Reamer, the mother of two priests and one religious sister, died March 7 at Cedar Crest in Pompton Plains, N.J. She was 102.

Born in Brooklyn, she received a bachelor's degree from the College of St. Elizabeth, Convent Station, N.J.

She married Raymond Reamer in 1941 at SS. Joachim and Anne Church in Queens Village. In 1991, the married couple became affiliates of the Franciscans’ Holy Name Province, to which their son, Father Mark Reamer, O.F.M., belongs.

She is also survived by her other sons, Father William Reamer, Raymond Reamer Jr., Paul Reamer and Thomas Reamer; and daughters, Sister Mary Alice Reamer, R.D.C., Anne Vinchiarello and Jean Reamer, as well as nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated March 13 in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Butler, N.J. Burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery there.
