Holy Trinity to Hold 40 Hours Devotion for Vocations

Forty Hours Devotion for Vocations to the Priesthood and Religious Life will begin Thursday, Sept. 30, at 6 p.m., and continue to Saturday, Oct. 2, at 10 a.m., at Holy Trinity Church, 775 Main St., Poughkeepsie.

The devotion is sponsored by Auxiliary Bishop Gerardo Colacicco, episcopal vicar for the northern counties of the archdiocese, Holy Trinity parish and The Latin Mass Society of the Hudson Valley.

The schedule features a solemn high Mass of exposition celebrated by Father Daniel D’Alliessi, pastor of St. Mary’s parish in Wappingers Falls, and a presentation on vocations to religious life by the Sisters of Life Thursday, Sept. 30, at 6 p.m.; a presentation on vocations to the priesthood by Father George Sears, archdiocesan director of vocations, Friday, Oct. 1, at 7 p.m.; and a High Mass of Reposition with Bishop Colacicco as celebrant on Saturday, Oct. 2, at 10 a.m. 

The remaining time will be occupied by silent prayer and adoration, the Rosary and elements of the Divine Office.
