Auxiliary Bishop John O’Hara, episcopal vicar for Southern Manhattan and Staten Island, was principal celebrant at the 19th annual Eve of Solemn Remembrance Mass at Our Lady of Pity Church on Staten Island Sept. 10. 

The Mass, sponsored by the University of Notre Dame Alumni Club of Staten Island, remembered the victims of the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

Concelebrants included Father John Wroblewski, pastor of Our Lady of Pity and St. Anthony of Padua parish, Staten Island; Msgr. Ferdinando Berardi, pastor of Blessed Sacrament, Staten Island; Msgr William Belford, pastor of St. Teresa of the Infant Jesus, Staten Island. Deacon Paul Kosinski, St. Joseph and St. Mary Immaculate, Staten Island; and Deacon Michael Venditto, Our Lady of Pity and St. Anthony of Padua, assisted.

The 60 people in attendance wore masks and observed social distancing protocols prescribed by the archdiocese.
