The Inner City Scholarship Fund hosted 27 Jimmy Lee Scholarship Fund recipients for an orientation, speaker program and reception at Cathedral High School in Manhattan Sept. 15.

The Jimmy Lee Fund awards up to $4,000 in tuition assistance for income-eligible, high-performing students who play an organized sport at an inner-city Catholic high school in the archdiocese.

An endowment was started by the Inner-City Scholarship Fund in memory of Jimmy Lee, a former vice chairman of JPMorgan Chase & Co., with the help of a $1 million donation from JPMorgan Chase Foundation, a longtime supporter of the Inner-City Scholarship Fund. The fund has grown to $3.1 million due to investment gains and additional contributions.
