The new Staten Island Ferry boat, the Dorothy Day, is towed in New York waters Sept. 16 en route to Caddell Dry Dock, Staten Island, for cleaning, more trials and training. Named for a New Yorker whose cause for canonization is open and built by the Eastern Shipbuilding Group in Panama City, Fla., the Dorothy Day took two weeks to reach New York and is expected to be in service later this year.
