MAKING A DIFFERENCE

James Fallon was rewarded for making a difference by taking second place in The Christophers’ 27th annual Poster Contest for High School Students.

Fallon, a sophomore at Iona Preparatory School in New Rochelle and parishioner of St. Patrick’s parish in Armonk, was one of more than 1,000 participants from across the country in the contest. The theme was “You Can Make a Difference.”

Fallon and his fellow volunteers at Heavenly Productions Foundation, which aids underprivileged students throughout the world, held several school supply drives. One of these drives is featured in Fallon’s photo collage poster, which featured photos of happy recipients of the school supplies.

“I get such a great feeling when I go and give the backpacks and school supplies out,” Fallon said.

“I believe even though I am still a kid, I can make a difference in the lives of these kids.”

The Christophers, a nonprofit organization started by Father James Keller, M.M., in 1945, has a mission of using mass media to encourage individuals to make a positive difference in the world.
