Power of Her Words

Posted

Thank you for the great columns on Anne Buckley’s life (CNY, May 9 and 23). She wrote the first Catholic New York article about St. Francis Home, the first maternity home Father Benedict Groeschel, C.F.R., and I opened in Hoboken, N.J. Because of that, a woman in Rockland County saw it and invited me to open our second home, soon followed by our third home on Staten Island. Her words had the power to move people—as do yours, which she helped to shape. Thanks for sharing so much of her life and influence on all of us who are Catholic and many non-Catholics, in New York.
