‘Powerful Message’

Blessed Pope Paul VI was a sensitive man with a powerful message “that peace must be invented and created at a speed which keeps pace with urgent events.”

His “eclipse” due to widespread rejection of Humanae Vitae (CNY Letters, Rafael Aledo, June 21) vindicates Blessed Pope Paul VI’s foresight. Just to retain their ethnic and religious identity, various small nations in Europe are giving incentives to have more children. Perhaps, though, Ireland is an exception.
