Auxiliary Bishop Edmund Whalen, vicar for clergy,  met with Immaculate Heart of Mary High School of Religion students in Scarsdale to discuss the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on their faith.

Bishop Whalen asked students to reflect on ways their faith has grown since the start of the pandemic and joined with Msgr. Luke Sweeney, parish pastor, in commending students for exploring their faith and Catholic identity.

Immaculate Heart of Mary High School of Religion (HSOR) is a weekly faith-building program for public school students in grades nine through 12.

HSOR has resumed in-person gatherings at Immaculate Heart of Mary after meeting on Zoom for the past year with the teaching team of coordinator Nancy Vericker and teachers Ray Mechmann and Elise Kuhn.
