Although the global coronavirus pandemic requires people to remain inside their homes, Catholics across the archdiocese will be able to virtually attend the Sacred Triduum and Easter celebrations at St. Patrick’s Cathedral courtesy of livestreaming services at www.saintpatrickscathedral.org

The schedule is as follows:

  • Holy Thursday, April 9: Mass of the Lord’s Supper, 5:30 p.m.
  • Good Friday, April 10: Tenebrae, 9 a.m. Meditations on the Seven Last Words, led by Auxiliary Bishop Gerardo Colacicco, noon to 3 p.m. Solemn Liturgy of the Lord’s Passion and Death, 3:30 p.m. Stations of the Cross, 6 p.m.
  • Holy Saturday, April 11: Easter Vigil Mass, 8 p.m.
  • Easter Sunday, April 12: Solemn Mass, 10 a.m.

In addition, the archdiocese and WPIX-TV (PIX11) will partner to broadcast live throughout the tri-state area the 10 a.m. Easter Sunday Solemn Mass from the cathedral. Cardinal Dolan will serve as principal celebrant.

During the most sacred time of the year for Christians, public gatherings have been suspended and worship services are being offered without a congregation present, due to the life-threatening public health concerns arising from COVID-19.
