Salesian Student Expelled, Facing Charge in Threat

A Salesian High School student was released on bail and is due back in New Rochelle City Court Nov. 27 after telling another student Oct. 6 he was going to “shoot up” the school.

The student was expelled from Salesian as a result of the incident.

The New Rochelle Police Department was made aware of the incident on Oct. 11 and upon investigation learned the 16-year-old student did not have access to weapons. After consulting with the New Rochelle District Attorney’s Office, police detectives arrested the individual Oct. 12.

He was charged with making terroristic threats, a Class D felony; arraigned Oct. 13 in New Rochelle City Court; and held on $1,000 bail, $5,000 bond.
