Msgr. Peter Vaccari, rector of St. Joseph’s Seminary, Dunwoodie, led solemn vespers and conferred degrees at an academic convocation for the Class of 2016 in the seminary chapel on May 20. Twenty-one seminarians, including five Franciscan Friars of the Renewal, were awarded master’s of divinity degrees; they also received bachelor’s of sacred theology from Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas in Rome. Two priests and 10 seminarians also received master’s of theology as did 12 laypersons. Four others received master’s of Catholic philosophical studies.
