Sheen Center Series Features Talk With Harry Connick Jr.

The Sheen Center for Thought and Culture presents “A Conversation with Harry Connick, Jr.” on Wednesday, July 29, at 7 p.m., as the concluding segment of its “Faith, Hope & Love” online talk series.

The talk is available on the Sheen Center’s Facebook page, YouTube channels and www.SheenCenter.org. The program will be available following the talk on Sheen Talks YouTube channel, www.YouTube.com/SheenTalks.

Connick has won multiple Grammy and Emmy awards, and has earned Tony Award nominations. He recently released the album, “True Love: A Celebration of Cole Porter.”

The conversation between Connick and David Di Certo, the interim executive director of the Sheen Center, will focus on two influential figures in Connick’s life who died of Covid-19, friend Ellis Marsalis Jr., and Msgr. Richard Guastella, the pastor of St. Clare’s parish on Staten Island, who died April 9.

The conversation will also explore Connick’s work with the Ellis Marsalis Center for Music and Musicians Village; his musical career; and his Catholic faith.
