Sheen Center Staging New York Opening of ‘Sister Calling My Name’

Blackfriars Repertory Theatre and the Storm Theatre will present a new production of Buzz McLaughlin’s drama “Sister Calling My Name” at the Black Box Theater of the Sheen Center for Thought and Culture, 18 Bleecker St., Manhattan, Jan. 24-Feb. 16. His discovery that his sister’s guardian, a nun, is someone he knew from his past triggers an emotionally charged encounter that leaves all three forever changed.

Performances are Thursday-Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 2 and 7:30 p.m., with a special 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday, Feb. 17. Tickets: $35, available at Sheen, (212) 925-2812 or at the box office.
