Sister Andreina Giannotti, A.S.C.J.

Sister Andreina Giannotti, A.S.C.J., who taught in the archdiocese for 25 years, died Jan. 20 at Sacred Heart Manor in Hamden, Conn. She was 81. She taught at Our Lady of Pompeii School and St. JosephÕs, both in Manhattan, and at Sacred Heart, the Bronx. She also served in schools in Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Florida, Illinois and Missouri. In addition to teaching, she worked with orphans and was a receptionist at Sacred Heart Manor, the retirement home for the Apostles of the Sacred Heart in Hamden. She was born in New Haven, Conn., and entered the Congregation of the Apostles of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in 1941. She professed final vows in 1950. She held a bachelor's degree from Fordham University in the Bronx. She is survived by two brothers, Vincent and Andy. A Funeral Mass was offered on Jan. 22 at Sacred Heart Manor Chapel in Hamden, with burial at All Saints Cemetery in North Haven.
