Sister Ann Kinsella, O.P., who taught in the archdiocese, died Oct. 27 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Convent in St. Louis, Mo. She was 80.

She taught at St. Helena’s School in the Bronx, 1950-1952; St. Pius X School in Scarsdale, 1958-1959; and St. James School in Carmel, 1959-1962.

She taught in elementary and high schools and served as a religious educator in the Archdiocese of St. Louis and the Diocese of Jefferson City in Missouri.

Born in St. Louis, she entered the Dominican Sisters of Sparkill in 1948 and professed final vows in 1955. She held a bachelor’s degree in education from Webster College and a master’s in theology from Providence College.

She is survived by a sister, Sister Catherine Kinsella, O.P., and a brother, John.

A Funeral Mass was to be offered Nov. 3 at Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel, with burial in St. Agnes Cemetery, both in Sparkill.
