Sister Antonia Blizinski, C.R., a teacher and administrator who served for 15 years at Maria Regina High School in Hartsdale, died Feb. 9 at Resurrection Nursing Home in Castleton. She was 85.

She taught business at Maria Regina from 1960 to 1975 and was chairwoman of the business department there. She was principal of St. Casimir’s School in Yonkers, 1959-1960, and taught there, 1951-1954. She also taught at St. Clemens Mary in Manhattan, 1954-1959, and in Cohoes and Schenectady. She was a parish coordinator of religious education in Hoosick Falls.

Born in Amsterdam, N.Y., she entered the Sisters of the Resurrection in 1945 and professed final vows in 1952. She held a bachelor’s degree in education from Fordham University and a master’s in business education from New York University.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated Feb. 12 at the congregation’s provincialate chapel in Castleton. Burial was in Resurrection Cemetery there.
