Sister Doreen Donegan, S.U.S.C., who was principal at St. Francis de Sales School in Manhattan, died June 12 at Catholic Memorial Home in Fall River, Mass. She was 74. She was principal of the school, her alma mater, from 1966 to 1969. She served as principal and teacher in elementary schools in Maryland, New Jersey and Massachusetts. She also served as a religious educator and teacher on Long Island. Born in Manhattan, where she graduated from Cathedral High School, she entered the Holy Union Sisters in 1951 and professed final vows in 1959. She held a bachelor's degree from Catholic Teachers' College, R.I., and a master's degree from Providence College. She is survived by two brothers, John and Desmond. A Funeral Mass was offered June 16 at St. Mary's Cathedral in Fall River, with burial at St. Patrick's Cemetery there.
