Sister Eileen Theresa Feore, S.C., who was a principal and teacher at schools in the archdiocese, died Feb. 26 at Mary the Queen Convent in Yonkers. She was 81. She was principal of St. Patrick's School in Bedford, 1974-1978, and also was assistant principal of a school in Queens. She taught at the following schools: Our Lady of Angels, 1980-1981; Blessed Sacrament, 1978-1979; and St. Margaret's, 1970-1972, all the Bronx; St. Peter's, Poughkeepsie, 1967-1970; St. Joachim's, Beacon, 1961-1967; St. Peter's, Haverstraw, 1956-1961; St. Agatha's Home, Nanuet, 1949-1956; Ascension, Manhattan, 1947-1948; and St. Ignatius Loyola, Manhattan, 1946-1947. From 1983 to 1997 she was director of volunteers at New York Foundling Hospital in Manhattan. She was a staff member at St. Patrick's Villa in Nanuet, 1998-2001. Born in New York City, she entered the Sisters of Charity of New York in 1944 and made final vows in 1949. She was formerly known as Sister James Maureen. She held a bachelor's degree in education from the College of Mount St. Vincent and a master's from the State University of New York at New Paltz. She is survived by a sister, Teresa Ennis. A Funeral Mass was offered March 1 at Mary the Queen Convent. Burial was in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Yonkers.
