Sister Janet Vietor, O.P., who taught at St. Augustine School in New City for four years, died April 22 in St. Louis. She was 71.
Sister Janet was at St. Augustine School, 1970-1974. She also served in Missouri.
Born in St. Louis, she entered the Dominican Sisters of Sparkill in 1967 and professed final vows in 1978. She received a bachelor’s degree in education from St. Thomas Aquinas College, Sparkill, and a master’s in elementary education from Webster University, Webster Groves, Mo.
Her sisters, Joan Glassman, Kathy Kroll and Carol Zinko, survive her.
Funeral arrangements were private. Burial was in St. Agnes Cemetery, Sparkill.
