Sister Jerome Kelliher, S.A., who served in ministries of the Franciscan Sisters of the Atonement in the United States and Canada, died Oct. 22 at Graymoor, Garrison. She was 89.
Her 75 years of catechetical and pastoral ministry included service at St. Cecilia’s parish in East Harlem, and at the sisters’ residence at Graymoor.
Born on Long Island, she entered the Atonement Sisters in 1935 and professed final vows in 1943. She is survived by a sister, Sister Elizabeth Kelliher, S.A., and a brother, John.
A Funeral Mass was offered Oct. 25 at the motherhouse chapel at Graymoor, with burial in the sisters’ cemetery there.
