Sister Josephine Marie Ferraioli, F.M.S.C.

Sister Josephine Marie Ferraioli, F.M.S.C., who was a teacher and group mother in the archdiocese, died May 18 in the infirmary at Mount St. Francis, Peekskill. She was 99. She was a group mother in the Boys House in Peekskill, 1940-1949, and at the Kennedy Home, the Bronx, 1949-1960. She taught at St. Veronica's School, Manhattan, 1960-1963; St. Patrick's, Verplanck, 1963-1964; Immaculate Conception, Irvington, 1964-1974; St. Teresa's, Sleepy Hollow, 1974-1984; and St. Ann's, Ossining, 1984-1985. She then joined the staff at Mount St. Francis. A native of New York City, she entered the Franciscan Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart in 1938 and professed final vows in 1945. She was predeceased by four brothers and three sisters, including Sister Miriam Antonia Ferraioli, F.M.S.C. A Funeral Mass was offered May 21 at Mount St. Francis, with burial in the sisters' cemetery there.
