Sister Laureen Haben, S.S.S.F.

Sister Laureen Haben, S.S.S.F., who taught for 15 years in the archdiocese, died Aug. 28 at Our Lady of the Angels Convent in Greenfield, Wis. She was 95.

Sister Laureen taught at St. Mary the Assumption School, Staten Island, 1957-1963, and St. John the Evangelist School, Beacon, 1948-1957. She also served in Illinois and Wisconsin.

Born in Evanston, Ill., she entered the School Sisters of St. Francis in 1944 and professed her final vows in 1952.

Her sister, Joyce Burke, survives her.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated Sept. 3 at St. Joseph Chapel, Milwaukee. Burial was in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Milwaukee.
