Sister M. Albrette Rouleau, I.H.M.

Sister M. Albrette Rouleau, I.H.M., who was a teacher and principal in the archdiocese, died Oct. 1 at Our Lady of Peace Residence in Scranton, Pa. She was 90.

She was principal at St. Alphonsus High School in Manhattan, 1970-1972, and a teacher at Holy Trinity School in Poughkeepsie, 1952-1953. She also taught on Long Island and in Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland.

She served her community in the business office, 1972-1995, and later as a receptionist at the sisters’ center.

Born in Providence, R.I., she entered the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in 1939 and professed final vows in 1945.

She held a bachelor’s degree in business education from Marywood College and a master’s in commerce from New York University.

She is survived by her brother, Albert, and her sister, Sister Marie Marguerite, R.S.M. A Funeral Mass was offered Oct. 5 at Our Lady of Peace Residence in Scranton, with burial in St. Catherine Cemetery, Moscow, Pa.
