Sister M. Bernardine Scott, O.S.F., a secretary at the Children’s Rehabilitation Center at St. Agnes Hospital in White Plains for 30 years, died on Nov. 19. She was 79.
Sister Bernardine was at St. Agnes Hospital, 1986-2010 and 1976-1982. She also served as a secretary at St. Francis Hospital, Poughkeepsie, 1974-1976, and for a parish religious education program in Carlisle, Pa., 1982-1986.
She was a volunteer catechist in the religious education program at St. Teresa of Avila parish in Sleepy Hollow at the time of her death.
Sister Bernardine entered the Sisters of St. Francis in 1967 and professed final vows in 1972. She was a member of the Sisters of St. Francis of Neumann Communities at the time of her death.
She is survived by her brother, Liam, and her sisters, Patricia and Bernadette.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated Nov. 22 at Mount St. Francis Convent in Peekskill. Burial followed in the sisters’ section of Mount Loretto at Resurrection Cemetery on Staten Island.
