Sister M. Faith Brown, I.H.M.

Sister M. Faith Brown, I.H.M., who taught in three high schools in the archdiocese, died April 17 at Our Lady of Peace Residence in Scranton, Pa. She was 90. She taught at Immaculata High School, 1969-1971, and St. Alphonsus High School, 1976-1980, both in Manhattan, and at Kingston Catholic High School in Kingston, 1971-1973. She also taught in Port Washington and Syracuse and at elementary and high schools in New Jersey and Pennsylvania in a 45-year career as an educator. Born in Scranton, she entered the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in 1934 and professed final vows in 1940. She held bachelor's and master's degrees from Marywood College in Scranton. Surviving is a sister, Kathryn B. Walsh. A Funeral Mass was offered April 20 at Our Lady of Peace Residence, with burial in St. Catherine's Cemetery, Moscow, Pa.
