Sister M. Fidelis Flannery, I.H.M.

Sister M. Fidelis Flannery, I.H.M., who taught at Holy Trinity School in Poughkeepsie, died June 30 at Our Lady of Peace Residence in Scranton, Pa. She was 93.

She taught at Holy Trinity, 1954-1956.

She was principal of St. Mary’s School, Manhasset, 1974-1978, and taught in Oyster Bay and Forest Hills, Queens. She also served as principal and taught in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Maryland.

Born in Williamsport, Pa., she entered the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in 1945 and made final vows in 1950.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in education and a master’s in guidance from Marywood College.

A brother, John, survives her. A Funeral Mass was offered July 6 at Our Lady of Peace Residence in Scranton. Interment was at St. Catherine’s Cemetery in Moscow, Pa.
