Sister M. Isabel Schratwieser, I.H.M.

Sister M. Isabel Schratwieser, I.H.M., who taught at Immaculata High School in Manhattan for six years, died July 16 at Our Lady of Peace Residence in Scranton, Pa. She was 97.

Sister Isabel was at Immaculata, 1963-1969. She also served in Brooklyn, Queens, Uniondale, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania.
Born in East Rockaway, she entered the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in 1947 and professed final vows in 1952.

Sister Isabel received a bachelor’s degree in home economics/history and a master’s in English, both from Marywood College, Scranton, Pa.

Burial was July 21 at St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Moscow, Pa. A Memorial Mass will be scheduled at a later date.
