Sister Margaret Mary Quinn, P.B.V.M.

Sister Margaret Mary Quinn, P.B.V.M., who served at St. Teresa parish and school on Staten Island for 32 years, died Aug. 25 at the motherhouse of the Presentation Sisters of Staten Island. She was 90.

Sister Margaret Mary served at St. Teresa, 1988-2020, where she was instrumental in starting a preschool program and St. Teresa's Food Pantry.
She taught on Staten Island at St. Margaret Mary School, 1967-1988; Our Lady Help of Christians, 1961-1967 and 1949-1959; St. John de la Salle, 1959-1961; and St. Paul's, 1948-1949.

Born in Manhattan, she entered the Presentation Sisters of Staten Island in 1946 and professed final vows in 1952.

She earned a bachelor's degree from Manhattan College.

Her sisters, Kathleen, Patricia and Geraldine, survive her.

A Funeral Mass was offered Aug. 29 at St. Teresa Church, Staten Island. Burial was in Presentation Sisters Cemetery, Staten Island.
