Sister Margaret (Peg) Mary Kilduff, M.M.

Sister Margaret (Peg) Mary Kilduff, M.M., who served in Peru for 59 years, died Jan. 24 at Maryknoll Sisters Center, Ossining. She was 88.

Sister Peg, who studied Spanish in Bolivia for one year before going to Peru, taught and did pastoral work in Peru, 1957-2016. She retired to Maryknoll Sisters Center in 2016.

Born in Johnston, R.I., she entered the Maryknoll Sisters in 1950 and professed final vows in 1959.

She received a bachelor’s degree in education from Maryknoll Teachers College, Ossining, and a master’s in religious studies from Maryknoll Seminary, Ossining.

Her brother, Edward, and her sister, Louise, survive her.

Sister Peg donated her body to science. A memorial service was livestreamed Jan. 29 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
