Sister Marie Morgan, M.M., who served in El Salvador for 20 years, died Nov. 23 at Maryknoll Sisters Center in Ossining. She was 92.

Sister Marie was in El Salvador, 1990-2010, where she served in preventive education for an AIDS ministry and as a volunteer AIDS worker. She also served in Ossining and in Missouri, California, Mexico and Guatemala.

Born in Pittsburgh, she entered the Maryknoll Sisters Novitiate in 1945 and professed final vows in 1951. She earned a bachelor’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences from Fordham University, the Bronx.

Her brother, Daniel, survives her.

Sister Marie donated her body to science, and her Funeral Mass was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
