Sister Marilyn Stack, C.N.D., a teacher at Villa Maria Academy in the Bronx for three years, died July 2 at Lourdes Health Care Center in Wilton, Conn. She was 79.
Sister Marilyn taught at Villa Maria Academy, 2002-2005. She also served in Catholic schools in Connecticut, Illinois, South Dakota and Rhode Island.
Born in Waterbury, Conn., she entered the Congregation of Notre Dame in 1957 and professed her final vows in 1965.
She earned a bachelor’s degree from Catholic Teachers College in Rhode Island and a master’s from Webster College in Missouri.
A Funeral Mass was offered July 5 at Villa Notre Dame in Wilton. Burial was at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Danbury, Conn.
