Sister Mary Cepha Euell, P.V.M.I., who served as coordinator of religious education at Blessed Sacrament parish in the Bronx, died Feb. 23 at Marycrest House in Monroe. She was 95.
Sister Mary served as coordinator of religious education at Blessed Sacrament, 1977-1979. She served in similar capacities and also in family visitation in upstate Rome, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania.
Sister Mary was a director, producer and writer of public service programs for the Archdiocese of Hartford, 1958-1962.
Born in the Bronx, she entered Parish Visitors of Mary Immaculate in 1950 and made final vows in 1955. She held a bachelor’s degree in communications and elementary education from Hunter College, and a master’s in theology from the University of Dayton in Ohio.
A Funeral Mass was offered Feb. 28 at Marycrest Chapel. Burial was at Assumption Cemetery at Marycrest House.
