Sister Mary Patricia Denny, M.M., who was a missioner to Mexico, died Aug. 16 at her niece's home in Philadelphia, Pa. She was 71. She did pastoral work in Oaxaca, Mexico, 1990-1997, and in Guatemala, 1985-1989. She earlier served in Mexico City and in Bolivia. She then returned to the United States where she held several positions with the congregation, 1970-1978 and 1982-1984. She also served in parishes in Philadelphia, including one where her brother, Father Joseph Denny, is pastor. Born in Philadelphia, she entered the Maryknoll Sisters in 1960 receiving the name Sister Regina Patrice, and made her final profession in 1969. Besides Father Denny, she is survived by another brother, Thomas. The Funeral Mass was celebrated Aug. 21 at St. Bernard's Church in Philadelphia.
