Sister Patricia Fahey, R.S.H.M.

Sister Patricia Fahey, R.S.H.M., who served at Marymount School of New York in Manhattan, died Nov. 12 at Marymount Convent in Tarrytown. She was 90.

Sister Patricia taught at Marymount School of New York for seven years ending in 1959, and was principal of the Lower School, 1959-1965. She later served in various teaching and administrative capacities in Brooklyn, Queens and Garden City.

Born in Manhattan, she entered the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary in 1948 and made final vows in 1955. She held a bachelor’s degree in history from Marymount College, Tarrytown, and a master’s in library science from Columbia University.

She served the congregation’s Eastern American Province as an executive board member, 1970-1971, and provincial councilor, 1997-2003. She was previously known as Sister Timothy.

Sister Patricia is survived by her sister, Barbara Fahey Chiaramonte.
A Funeral Mass was offered Nov. 20 at Marymount Convent, Tarrytown. Burial was at Mount Calvary Cemetery, White Plains.
