Sister Patricia Graham, R.D.C., who was a teacher and social worker, died Dec. 18 at White Plains Hospital. She was 71.

She taught at St. Bernard’s School, White Plains; Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Elmsford; St. Joseph’s, Croton Falls; St. Frances de Chantal, the Bronx; and St. Lawrence O’Toole, Brewster.

She served as a supportive services coordinator at Encore Community Center of St. Malachy’s parish, Manhattan, 1984-1987, and then was a parish minister at Holy Family parish, New Rochelle. She also served her religious community as a geriatric care manager. In 1990 she became a counselor with the archdiocesan ADAPP program.

Born in the Bronx, she entered the Sisters of the Divine Compassion in 1956 and professed final vows in 1964.

She held a bachelor’s degree from Good Counsel College and three master’s degrees from different schools: in education, pastoral counseling and social work.

She is survived by her sisters, Ellen Horey-Theide, Joan Fleischacker and Catherine Schoenberg.

A Funeral Mass was offered Dec. 23 in the sisters’ chapel in White Plains, with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery in White Plains.
