Sister Susan Ostrowski, O.P., who taught at Our Lady of Refuge School in the Bronx in the 1980s, died Nov. 15 at St. Dominic Villa, Hazel Green, Wis. She was 65.
She taught at Our Lady of Refuge, 1982-1987.
A master teacher, she was able to guide students through any learning challenge. She also taught in Florida, Illinois and California.
Born in Wausau, Wis., she professed final vows with the Dominican Sisters of Sinsinawa, Wis., in 1984.
She is survived by a sister, Sharon Ostrowski, and three brothers, Bruce, Michael and Mark.
A Funeral Mass was offered Nov. 18 at the Dominican motherhouse in Sinsinawa. Burial was in the cemetery there.
