Stanley P. Maciocha, who with his wife, Josie, was twice cited as the longest-married couple in the archdiocese, died Aug. 1. He was 99.

Stanley and his wife, who survives him, were married for 77 years. They were honored in 2019 and 2020 as the longest-married couple in the archdiocese following a search conducted by the archdiocesan Family Life Office in conjunction with World Marriage Day in February.

Maciocha was a longtime parishioner of St. Casimir in Yonkers, where he was baptized, attended elementary school and married Josie. More recently, the couple resided in Tarrytown.

He was a longtime employee of Yonkers Contracting Corp.

His daughters, Barbara Rose and Marilyn Gizzi; granddaughter, Kristin Gizzi; and two great-granddaughters, Olivia and Sophia Flynn, also survive him.

A Funeral Mass was offered Aug. 5 at St. Casimir’s Church. Burial was in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Yonkers.
